FL Studio multiplayer: ranked battles inside your project
FL Studio has never had a multiplayer mode, so we built one into a plugin. Gambit is a VST instrument that loads in FL Studio and lets you battle other producers online, ranked, in real time, without leaving your project.
How ranked multiplayer works
- Ranked 5-minute blitz. Click Play online and get matched with a producer near your rating. Every win, loss and draw moves your Elo rating.
- Only the winner keeps the sounds. Every move of a rated game generates new sounds. Win and they're yours to save, export and drag into your beat. Lose and they're locked. A draw lets both players keep them.
- Casual games and friends. Send a friend a game code for an unranked match, chat, offer a draw, rematch.
- Fair play. Server-run clocks, no eval bar, no hints, no take-backs against a person.
- Crash-proof. If your DAW crashes, reopen Gambit and rejoin the same game.
Play ranked in FL Studio
- Install Gambit for Windows or Mac and open FL Studio.
- Go to Options > Manage plugins and click Find installed plugins.
- Add Gambit from the Channel Rack (+) or the Plugin database > Generators.
- Click Play online and pick Rated for ranked or Casual to play a friend.
- When you win, drag the sounds and MIDI you earned straight into the playlist and piano roll.
FL Studio ranked ladder
Your Elo rating sits next to your name in every game. Start provisional, climb with every win, and get matched with producers at your level. It's the closest thing to an FL Studio ranked mode.
Infinite sounds, one chessboard
Outside of battles, Gambit is a full trap synth: every chess position becomes a brand-new patch across 33 instruments (rage leads, plugg bells, e-pianos, pads, 808s and more), with Melody, Arp and Chords generators and MIDI you can drag straight into your project. There are about 4.8×1044 legal chess positions, so the sounds never run out.
Gambit is an independent plugin. FL Studio is a trademark of Image-Line, Logic Pro of Apple, Ableton Live of Ableton; Gambit is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
